If you have been affected by the floods on the 6 January 2025 and internal habitable rooms were flooding you can apply for a one off £500 recovery grant by completing this form.
Eligibility
- You must reside in the property as your main residence, and
- Your property must have been internally impacted by flooding and habitable living areas in your home damaged by flooding on the 6th January 2025, and
- The property must be reported to Leicestershire County Council to get a full picture of properties impacted by flooding.
The following buildings are usually not eligible for the scheme:
- garages
- outhouses and storage areas
- second homes
- empty homes
- basements or cellars not used as part of the habitable of a property.
Second homes or empty homes at the time of the flood will not be eligible.
Application process
