LLR Prepared Week Roadshow 12 -17 October 2015

LLR Prepared is the Local Resilience Forum which looks after emergency planning for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

The roadshow will feature stands from Leicestershire Fire & Rescue, Police, East Midlands Ambulance Service, local authorities, Environment Agency, health, voluntary sector partners and others. It’s your opportunity to find out more about emergency planning and to get involved.

The roadshow marks the launch of Aware and Prepared, an initiative aimed at improving the extent to which households, communities and businesses are prepared for severe weather, difficult times and emergencies.

Residents will be encouraged to complete household plans, communities to complete community response plans and local businesses to complete business continuity plans.

The roadshow also coincides with this year’s Stay Well This Winter campaign and will feature advice on flu jabs, care in pregnancy, keeping warm and staying well.
