Praise for car park re-design
Published Monday 10 August 2015Improvements to a car park in the heart of a village have been welcomed.
The Orchard Road car park in Broughton Astley has been resurfaced as part of a major revamp by Harborough District Council which included new lighting and attractive boundary fencing.
The new design also included 8 additional parking bays.
Richard Tomlin, councillor for the Broughton ward in Broughton Astley, said: “The car park improvements have made a huge positive difference to the appearance of the village centre.”
Paul Dann, councillor for the Primethorpe ward in Broughton Astley said: “This is a well-used car park and the improvements have made it better for shoppers and for delivery vehicles.”
