National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9 March to 13 March 2015 and linking in with this Harborough District Council has unveiled plans to take on apprenticeships.
Funding is also being made available by the council from 1 April 2015 to allow businesses and organisations in the district to take on apprentices of their own.
Cllr Blake Pain, leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We want to work with local businesses and other organisations to look at how they could take on apprenticeships which can be a great way for people to get into the workplace. We hope businesses take advantage of this opportunity as apprenticeships bring with them huge benefits and value.”
