Improvements being made to car parks
Published Thursday 12 February 2015Improvement works are taking place to two car parks in the Harborough district.
The essential maintenance will take place at the George Street car park, in Lutterworth, and the Fox Yard car park, adjacent to The Symington Building, in Market Harborough.
Works to the car parks, owned by Harborough District Council, will take place on Monday 23rd February 2015.
- George Street car park will be closed on Monday 23 February 2015 and will re-open the following day.
- Fox Yard car park will be closed for a week from Monday 23 February 2015 and is expected to re-open on 2 March 2015. The Symington Building archway which leads from Adam and Eve Street to the Fox Yard car park will also be shut for the duration of the works.
Works to the car parks will include repairs to the existing surface and relining where necessary.
As part of the works, the number of disabled bays in the Fox Yard car park is being increased from three bays to six.
The council said any disruption would be kept to a minimum.
