Paralympian Sam will be VIP guest at Sport Relief mile
Published Friday 21 March 2014Paralympian Sam Ruddock will be getting the Sport Relief mile underway in Market Harborough and people are being encouraged to come along and meet him.
The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Market Harborough takes place this Sunday (23rd March 2014) is pleased to confirm that Paralympic athlete Sam Ruddock (pictured) will be attending as VIP guest.
Hundreds of local people have already signed up to run one, three, or six miles, but there’s still time to bag a place, don that headband and enter the fun and games! You may even get the chance to have you photo taken with Sam who represented Great Britain in the Paralympics in London 2012.
In addition to meeting a Paralympic athlete, the County Council Chairman Rosita Page, and doing your bit for a great cause there will also be the opportunity take part in some amazing sporting challenges from table tennis to basketball.
Before you start the run you will be energised with a mass warm up led by ex-professional boxer Kelton Mckenzie.
With all this and more the event promises to be great fun for all the family. Do your bit and get involved; it’s not too late to sign up for the mile online.
Then on Sunday 23rd it’s over to Market Harborough to come together and take part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games.
