A refresh of the layout has ensured that tourism information is more inclusive and user friendly, enabling everyone to explore Harborough district’s attractions and experiences.

The improvements include enhanced navigation options, better readability and the addition of accessibility tools to support users with visual or cognitive impairments.

Visitors to the site will find it more straightforward to search for accommodation, local attractions, shopping opportunities and leisure activities.

Cllr Jo Asher, Cabinet lead for Culture, Leisure, Economy and Tourism, said: “We are excited to reveal the newly updated website which is a welcoming and inclusive digital platform for all. It will help everyone discover the unique heritage, culture and leisure experiences here in Harborough district. Accessibility is a key priority for us and this revamp reflects our commitment to making information available to all our visitors.”

This project has received £3,500 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
