Cemetery improvements made as part of extension
Published Wednesday 3 May 2023An extension of Harborough District Council’s Northampton Road cemetery in Market Harborough has been completed.
Expanding into the grounds at the rear of Harborough Leisure Centre, an additional 76 burial plots have been created.
There has also been improved landscaping provision to the cemetery boundary so that the site is better enclosed and more tranquil for families and friends to remember loved ones.
Caroline Averill, Head of Property Services at Harborough District Council, said: “I am pleased that these upgrades, which have cost £50,000, have been completed. Most importantly, the extension will provide more burial spaces for future years.”
