Market Harborough Classic Car Show postponed
Published Tuesday 31 March 2020Market Harborough’s Classic Car Show has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak – but plans are underway to hold the event in 2021.
After the series of Government announcements concerning the restriction of public movement and mass gatherings to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Harborough District Council has announced it is postponing the Classic Car Show, which was due to take place in the town centre on 5 July 2020.
Cllr Phil King, Leader of Harborough District Council, said: “We understand this event is a big part of the calendar for the district, and of great importance to businesses; but we have no option to postpone this in the interest of public safety. We will continue to do everything in our power to support local businesses affected by the disruption caused by COVID-19, and will look to bring the classic car show back to the district next year.”
