Early bird tours excite local businesses at Harborough Grow-on Centre
Published Thursday 23 January 2020Visitors to Harborough Grow-on Centre (HGC) enjoyed a business breakfast tour, hosted by Harborough District Council, in partnership with lettings agent Andrew Granger & Co, on 22 January 2020.
With many local dynamic and growing businesses represented from across the district, the event proved an excellent opportunity to network, whilst viewing the brand new office suites which range in size from 532 – 2,076 sq. ft.
The centre, located in an expanding commercial area on the south side of Market Harborough town, boasts high tech glazing to reduce heat loss and solar gain as well as auto-adjusting artificial lights and electric car charging points.
Councillor James Hallam, Harborough District Council’s deputy leader and Cabinet member for Harborough Grow-on Centre said: “The new HGC building presents an eco-friendly, modern and accessible place to work. Tenants will also benefit from the business support offered to companies by the Council across Harborough District, which enjoys a growing reputation as a great place to live and work.”
Having showers and a cycle shelter on-site, and with a discounted membership rate at Harborough Leisure Centre which is just across the road, tenants at HGC will have ample resource to maintain a healthy work / life balance.
The successful business event also showcased original artworks, supplied by Harborough Arts Cluster (HAC), a group of local creatives. The pieces, which are available for purchase, are to be rotated with new installations to enhance the vibrant and engaging atmosphere at HGC.
Harborough District Council provided up to £3,620,612 to fund the BREEAM Excellent, Harborough Grow-on Centre (HGC) project with £3,282,500 of the funding coming from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and £987,833 from the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).
