Armed Forces Survey has excellent response
Published Friday 23 August 2019Harborough District Council is keen thank residents after more than 700 people responded to a recent survey conducted to understand all aspects of military life.
The survey targeted people in Harborough district, Rutland, and South Kesteven with a connection to the British Armed Forces and was developed by Harborough District Council, Rutland County Council, South Kesteven District Council and Healthwatch Rutland.
The survey feedback is now being analysed and the findings will be used to improve local services for individuals and families who are connected to the Forces. The survey report will be published in the autumn.
Cllr Rani Mahal (pictured below right), Harborough District Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “It means so much to me personally that the armed forces personnel and their families have come forward and shared their experiences. This give us a better understanding of any issues that may be of concern to them and puts us in a better position to be able to support them. As the Armed Forces Champion for Harborough District Council I am keen to continue our engagement with the Armed Forces community on a long term basis.”
