Free Over 60s Wellbeing Event
Published Monday 20 May 2019Come along to one of our free wellbeing sessions aimed at supporting people aged over 60 with skills relating to digital devices and also promoting community health and improved facilities.
Harborough District Council and Willmott Dixon are hosting the free wellbeing events on Thursday 30th May 2019 at:
Lutterworth Sports Centre: 10-11.30am
Fleckney Sports Centre: 12-1.30pm
Houghton Pavilion: 2-3.30pm
A 'Digi-van' will travel to each site and be parked outside the venue. Participants are welcome to bring their own digital devices or use equipment provided. During the event, free advice and support will be provided to help people with their digital devices. This includes anyone from beginners who struggle to use a laptop, to people who would just like a bit of guidance with skills such as:
How to use the internet
Word processing / documents
Help in setting up and using email
How to use apps on mobile phones
Physical Wellbeing
You can also join in with some optional fun physical activities, which include seated exercise, Boccia and New Age Kurling, all suitable for any ability level

Harborough District Council's Active Harborough officers will run the sessions - come along and join in the fun!
