May Day Fun in Market Harborough
Published Wednesday 1 May 2019Harborough District Council is inviting families with young children to a fun-filled May Day event on the town Square on Saturday May 4 2019, 10am to 4pm.
Children can have a go at learning circus skills, make something in the crafting tent, and have their face painted for free. There will also be a balloon modeller, a puppet show and lots of fun competitions to take part in.
And if that’s not enough there is a traditional children’s May Pole to have a go on.
There’s no need to worry about lunch either as Harborough favourites FarrinHeight Foods will be selling vegan and veggie food, and Farmers Market regulars Taste Outside Catering will be selling Mexican food at the event.
A Harborough District Council spokesman said: ‘We are urging families to come into Harborough district to support the local retailers and eateries this Bank Holiday weekend, so we hope that this free-to-attend children’s event is an added incentive to visit the town."
