Popular veggie and vegan event returns
Published Wednesday 27 March 2019Following on from the success of the 2018 Holistic Harborough event, Harborough District Council is delighted to be bringing it back to the town’s Square on not one but THREE occasions in 2019.
The first event is on Saturday 13 April 2019 from 10am to 4pm, followed by more events on Saturday 22 June 2019 and Saturday 28 September 2019.
The three events will be a celebration and showcase of all things holistic, vegan, veggie, gluten free and will include everything from food to eat onsite or to take away, a vegan bar, crystals, Fairtrade products, clothing, incense, yoga teachers, vegan cosmetics and more.
Also attending the event with a stall will be Eco Church who will be encouraging people to sign up to the Harborough Plastic Pledge.
Canon Brian Davis, who is leading the Plastic Pledge Campaign, said: “We have had a great initial start to the campaign with lots of people signing up to reduce their reliance on single use plastic but there are still so many others to reach in order to make a difference. We hope that people will come along to the Holistic Harborough event and have a chat to us about what they can do to effect change.”
There is a growing vegetarian and vegan community in the district that the event is hoping to cater for and, if the demand is there, the event could become a more regular occurrence.
So, make a date in your diaries for Saturday 13 April 2019 and come along to The Square to sample some wonderful food, talk to like minded people and nourish your mind and body.
