Council takes on grounds contract for Rutland
Published Tuesday 26 February 2019Harborough District Council has agreed to carry out grounds maintenance for a neighbouring Council as part of an innovative partnership.
The District Council has agreed to provide grounds maintenance services for Rutland County Council from 1 March 2019 for three years.
The move was agreed by Harborough District Council at its meeting on 25 February 2019.
The partnering will further build on the two authorities’ current joint working.
Councillor Jonathan Bateman, Harborough District Council’s portfolio holder for Environment and Regulatory Services, said: “This is a great example of partnership working and builds on our strong reputation for providing excellent environmental services.”
