Local Plan reaching final stages
Published Friday 15 February 2019Harborough District Council’s Local Plan Executive Advisory Panel will meet on Wednesday 20 February 2019 at 2pm in the Council Chamber at The Symington Building in Market Harborough.
Councillors on the panel will be updated on progress made towards the adoption of the Local Plan.
Residents are currently being invited to share their views on the independent planning inspector’s modifications to the Local Plan and can and have their say at www.harborough.gov.uk/local-plan-examination until 12noon on Tuesday 26 February 2019.
Following feedback from this, the planning inspector is expected to issue his final report in Spring 2019 before the Local Plan is considered for adoption by Harborough District Council.
Once adopted, the new Local Plan will set out planning policies in the Harborough district up to 2031. It will make sure development meets strategic priorities for housing, employment, community facilities, transport and other infrastructure needed to support development.
