Ordering household bins in Harborough District

Request repairs to your bin

If your wheeled bin is damaged you can request a repair to your bin. If we can’t repair your bin we will replace it. This may be done on the next collection day or within 8 days after.

Before you begin – please note:

  • If your bin was damaged through no fault of the council you could be charged for repairs or a replacement bin. There is a charge for this service - you can view the current cost on our fees and charges webpage.
  • If your bin was vandalised, you will need a police crime number to complete the repair form.
  • You will need to know what colour and size of bin you want to repair.
  • Once you have completed the form, made a payment and made a note of the reference number, we aim for our contractor to visit, assess and repair the damage within seven working days - this can sometimes be longer during busier periods. Please present your damaged bin immediatley at the usual kerbside presentation point ready for our contractors to assess and repair or replace your bin. Please ensure that the bin is easily accessible and clearly visible from the public highway. If our contractor determines that your bin is beyond repair, they will exchange the damaged bin for a new one.
