Community Awards

A young person or a group who volunteer and contribute their time, energy and skills to benefit others within our community. This award is for the Young Person of the Year and recognises the significant contribution(s) to the community of an individual young person in Harborough district.  This category has two awards - one for young people aged between 11-18yrs and one for 19-25 years. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible to enter the following eligibility criteria apply: 

• An individual young person or group (aged 11 to 18 and 19-25 yrs) 
• The young person must be living in Harborough district. 
• The people or communities who have benefited from the young person’s contributions must be based in Harborough district. 
• This participative work is to have been carried out in the past 12 months 
• The young person has volunteered their time and skills to make a positive contribution to their club, group, school, local project or community 

Prize

The winner receives a certificate, and cash prize of £200 

Runner-up receives a certificate and a cash prize of £100
