Roll of Honour
In The Symington Building in Market Harborough, in the foyer of the Church Square entrance to the building, is the magnificent memorial of R & W H Symington & Co. Ltd, once Harborough district’s largest employer.
It reads ‘In Honoured Memory of Our Boys who gave their lives for King and Country’ and lists in the upper panels 250 names of those who had served in World War I and 35 who died.
In the lower panels are 164 names of those who served in World War II and 6 who died.
This is housed in its original building now the Harborough District Council Offices.
