Food hygiene ratings advice for businesses
Requesting a re-visit
After a food hygiene inspection you can request a re-visit if you did not receive the maximum rating of five and have carried out all the improvements in your inspection report.
Please note: Requesting a re-visit before the next scheduled visit to re-assess the premises will incur a fee as listed in Fees for our services page.
Please contact foodandsafety@harborough.gov.uk to request a FHRS revisit application form.
To pay the fee for your re-inspection you can:
- Pay by telephone on 01858 828282
- or pay by cheque (please make cheques payable to Harborough District Council)
Once you have applied for a re-inspection and paid, an officer will re-visit your premises within three months. The officer will give you a new rating based on the food hygiene standards they find at the time of this visit.
There are no limits to how many revisits you can have so if you do not achieve the maximum rating of five first time you could consider re-applying when you have carried out further improvements. However you will be charged a fee for each subsequent visit.
