The Event

Neighbourhood Plan groups, Parish Coucnils and Neighbourhood Forums joined the Strategic Planning Team, the Director for Planning and the Portfolio Holder for Planning to discuss neighbourhood planning and the emerging Local Plan on Saturday the 30 November from 10am to midday. In addition, Houghton on the Hill Neighbourhood Plan Group shared their experiences of neighbourhood planning and reviewing a plan.

Introduction - (Matt Bills)

10:00 - 10:30am

• Matt Bills is the District Councils Neighbourhood & Green Spaces Officer.
• He will give an update on Neighbourhood Planning and share the latest news about neighbourhood planning

Emerging Local Plan - (Tess Nelson and Terry Begley)

10:30 - 11:00am

• The Strategic Planning team have been working to progress the emerging updated Local Plan against the backdrop of a changing government and an updated National Planning Policy Framework and will provide some updates on their progress.

Lessons and Learnings Workshop - (Houghton on the Hill - Ian Hill and John Siddons)

11:15 - 11:45am

• As requested at our last event, we have invited Houghton on the Hill to share useful resources and information from their Neighbourhood Planning journey.
• They are approaching a key stage of their Neighbourhood Plan review and some members of the parish will discuss their progress.
