Our policies, plans and strategies - LAN4 Green Wedge Review

A review of the boundaries of the District’s two Green Wedge designations was carried out in 2011. This was carried out in line with the methodology developed in association with other local authorities surrounding Leicester. Detailed boundaries of the Leicester/Scraptoft and the Thurnby/Leicester/Oadby Green Wedges were assessed in relation to the criteria as set out in the Core Strategy and the case for amending boundaries considered.

A draft 2015 technical update of the review is now available which reflects changes to the planning policy context and relevant planning appeal decisions since 2011.
