Examiners ReportThe Examiners Report for the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan was received by Harborough District Council on 4 May 2018. Read the Examiners Report for the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan (683KB). The Examiners Report recommended that, with modifications, the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan proceed to a referendum. The recommended referendum area is the Parish of Swinford. The recommended modifications was presented to the Executive Committee for consideration on 16 July 2018. Executive Committee approved all of the Examiners recommendations The date for the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan Referendum is 27 September 2018. ReferendumAt its meeting on 16 July 2018 Executive Committee approved the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan to proceed to referendum on 27 September 2018, and accepted all of the Examiners recommendations. Examination |
Submission of Swinford Neighbourhood Plan Swinford Neighbourhood Plan was submitted by Swinford Parish Council to Harborough District Council for examination on 22 September 2017. A consultation in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations will take place between 1 November and 20 December 2017. Regulation 16 ConsultationThe representations received during the consultation period will be found here after the consultation period is completed. All representations will be forwarded to the Independant Examiner. Swinford Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)After submission of the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan a second screening was undertaken by the Local Planning Authority for the requirement of the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan to have a full SEA. The Statutory Consultees confirmed that they agree with the opinion of the LPA. The LPA has therefore determined that a full SEA is not required for the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan. Teh Qualifying Body was also sent a copy of the Examiners report. The report receommends that with modifications the Swinford Neighbourhood Plan should proceed to referendum. Swinford Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Swinford Neighbourhood Area. The application was published for a six week period ending on 27 April 2015 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 6 May 2015.
