Examiners ReportThe Examiners Report for the East Langton Neighbourhood Plan was received by Harborough District Council on 22 February 2018. Read the Examiners Report for the East Langton Neighbourhood Plan (326KB). The Examiners Report recommended that, with modifications, the East Langton Neighbourhood Plan proceed to a referendum. The recommended referendum area is the Parish of East Langton to include those homes that are part of the village of Church Langton but inside West Langton Parish. Referendum Results |
Referendum ResultThe referendum held on 21st June 2018 met the requirements of the Localism Act 2011; it was held in the Parish of East Langton and posed the question: 'Do you want Harborough District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for East Langton to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood area?' The count took place on 21st June 2018 and greater than 50% of those who voted were in favour of the Plan being used to help decide planning applications in the plan area. The East Langton Neighbourhood Plan has been submitted by East Langton Parish Council and East Langton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group to Harborough District Council for examination. In accordance with the regulations, the following documents have been submitted for examination:

Approval of Neighbourhood Area |
East Langton Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the East Langton Neighbourhood Area. The application was publicised for a six week period ending on 4 October 2013 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 9 October 2013.
