Dual driver and private hire driver licence

All taxi drivers in the Harborough district must have a taxi driving licence in order to drive a taxi vehicle. There are two types of taxi driver licences that we provide licences for:

• Dual Drivers Licence - From the 1 April 2018 new Hackney Carriage Licenses will be replaced by Dual Driver Licenses which will enable the individual to drive both Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicles
• Private Hire Drivers Licence - allows you to drive Private Hire vehicles only

Taxi driver licences are valid for 3 years.
