Flooding
Councils, Emergency Services, water companies and the NHS work together to help people prepare for flooding and to stay safe. In an emergency situation we work together with partner agencies to help co-ordinate a response.
To report an environmental incident currently taking place, such as flooding from main rivers or the sea, collapsed or badly damaged river banks, main rivers blocked by a vehicle or fallen tree causing risk of flooding, pollution, etc. please call:
- Environment Agency incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60 - open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- If there is an immediate risk to life, please call the emergency services on 999.
